A CONTACS operator will answer your call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The operator will provide current information about available emergency and transitional beds in Maricopa County.

What is CONTACS?

CONTACS is a 24-hour, bilingual, hotline that provides up-to-the-minute shelter bed availability for victims of domestic violence and homelessness. CONTACS has a direct connection to over 70 domestic violence and homeless shelters in Maricopa County. These connections provide instant and updated information on bed availability. CONTACS will connect domestic violence victims and homeless persons to the appropriate shelter that has available beds.

Ecumenical Chaplaincy for the Homeless 602-417-9853
The Chaplaincy assists homeless people in replacing lost, damaged or stolen identification documents, including birth certificates, to enable them to get assistance, benefits, housing and work. The Chaplaincy also provides safe storage of documents, hygiene kits, socks, referrals to other agencies, assistance in locating family and counseling for substance abuse and life issues. Long distance calls to family and out-of-state agencies are available. Free Bibles and prayer are always available.
