Changing Lives Center
Sunday School at the Changing Lives Center
Could you and your small group, current Sunday school team or family with tens, provide a 45 minute to 1 hour Sunday school experience for our children at the Changing Lives Center? Morning or afternoon on Sunday would be flexible.
Sunday school teachers would be asked to provide curriculum, lessons, crafts, and a snack on a weekly basis. We could rotate teams of teachers on an every other week or monthly basis.
4-6 teachers/helpers would be serving approximately 20 kids ages 3-11 years old. Current background checks from your church or a Level 1 Fingerprint card is required.
Come Watch the Babies!
The last Saturday of every month our Mom's do a big clean-up of the Changing Lives Center campus. We call it "All Hands" cleaning day. We need six volunteers to care for the children, and hold the babies while our moms make the CLC sparkle! Check it out in our "Special Events" tab in prm.volunteerhub.com.
You must have a love of kids, a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, and interview with Volunteer Services. Reach out to Jayna at firstname.lastname@example.org or (602) 688-6218. Youth (14 and older) may serve with an approved parent.
Childcare Providers - Childcare Assistants
Most of the women that enter our Transformation Program at the Changing Lives Center are mothers, and have their children with them when they arrive on our campus. They are hoping to find safe, stable, and loving place for themselves and their children. Without the help of childcare volunteers our capacity is limited, as we simply cannot serve all the children and mothers that rely on our Childcare Center that serves babies and children up to five years of age. Will you help by taking one shift, 10-2pm, one day per week, every other week, or one day each month? A level-One Fingerprint card and TB test are required.
Want to make a huge difference in someone’s life? Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Mentor Program is designed to provide clients with the opportunity to develop a healthy relationship with a mature, knowledgeable and encouraging Christian mentor. The goal of this program is to build relationships that foster trust and facilitate progress towards successful transition from residential program to independent living, with a focus on Christian discipleship, building godly life-long relationships and connecting to a local church community. Mentors and mentees will have weekly contact to study and review the PRM New Start Workbook and other supplemental materials for an 8-12 month commitment.
