Mobile Food Outreach

Delivering Nutritious Food Where It’s Needed Most

Because families who are facing hunger often lack the resources to travel to a food bank, Phoenix Rescue Mission sends Mobile Pantries to low income and underserved communities throughout the Valley. These communities, often classified as “food deserts” due to their lack of proper grocery stores, tend to have high concentrations of fast food and snack mart-styled stores.

Our Mobile Pantry distributions generally take place at community centers, churches, schools, and other highly visible, well-trafficked locations.

Current distribution sites include:

Laveen
Mobile Pantry

When: 8-10 a.m. the first Thursday of every month.
Where: Christ Church of the Valley (Laveen) at 4343 W. Baseline Road

South Phoenix
Mobile Pantry

When: 9-11am on the third Tuesday of the month.
Where: First New Life Church at 1902 W. Roeser Road

West Phoenix
Mobile Pantry

When: 9-11am on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.
Where: Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Donation Warehouse at 2515 N. 34th Drive

Families undergoing financial hardship — due to unemployment or underemployment, illness or some other difficulty — need temporary help to bridge the gap during their time of need. The Mission’s Mobile Pantries come bearing nonperishable staples, basic hygiene items and household cleaning necessities that make a priceless difference for our struggling neighbors.

Just as important, they open the door to new hope and transformation through case management and services aimed at ending poverty, including:

  • Vocational development
  • Job placement
  • Mental health services
  • Addiction recovery

If you know of a community, neighborhood, school, or some other location that would benefit from one of the Mission’s Mobile Pantry distributions, please email us at [email protected].
