New Volunteer Opportunities

Food Service Instructors/Prep Worker/Sous Chef

Our clients, at both our men's and women's campuses, are learning culinary and food industry skills to use in future employment. We need help with advising and coaching clients in the kitchen on preparation methods. Flexible shifts are available, 8-5 weekdays.

Hobby or Craft Activity Leaders

If you love to make jewelry, knit, play board games or bunco and would like to teach others, this may be the spot for you!  We would like to offer weekly activities to our women at the Changing Lives Center, on a rotating basis, in the evenings or on the weekend.

Let’s Celebrate Our Graduates!

Once a month, we will be celebrating the men who are graduating from our Transformations program and from levels of leadership training or job attainment.  We are looking for a group of volunteers (6-8) that love to celebrate the success of others!  Groups will provide refreshments, decorations and a gift of a study Bible, devotional book, gift cards to restaurants or similar items for each of the 2-5 men that complete our programs each month.  The commitment is 3-4 hours for each monthly event.

Worship Leader/Band Director

The men at the Community Services Center have gathered an eager, passionate group of guys who want to take their worship and musical abilities to the next level.  We need a music director to build the worship team and work with vocals and instruments.  How about taking this band on the road or giving them the opportunity to record?

Group Opportunities

Fill-A-Bag, Feed-A-Family

How does it work? Your neighbors commit to giving a small amount of food every two months, which will provide a steady supply of non-expired, nutritious food to serve those in need. We are off to a running start in Phoenix, Tempe, Buckeye, Mesa, and Fountain Hills, where a percentage of bags collected will go directly to Christ-centered food pantries in the areas of participating fellowships in this metro-wide program.  We are hoping to stir the body of Christ in unity to display the love of Jesus to our city.  If you are interested in volunteering or getting more information about Fill-A-Bag, Feed-A-Family, click here to see the info page or for more information contact Gail Engstrom at 602-346-3372 or at gengstrom@phoenixrescuemission.org.

Hope Totes Hygiene Kits

As part of the Hope Coach ministry, we provide Hope Totes in gallon-sized re-sealable bags. For instructions on making Hope Totes, click here.

Hygiene Kits  and Fill-A-Bag drops offs are accepted at our warehouse from 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday at 1468 N. 26th Avenue in Phoenix.
