Homelessness in the Valley is dire.
HOPE HAS ARRIVED.
Nearly 10,000 women, children, and vulnerable neighbors are experiencing homelessness across the Valley. More than ever.
World Homeless Day is October 10. Phoenix Rescue Mission is hosting its first-ever World Homeless Day campaign, a bold effort to raise awareness, activate compassion, and connect our most vulnerable neighbors with real solutions. This fall, you can help people get off the streets and find safety and stability.

Days Until World Homeless Day – October 10
Everyone deserves the chance to come home.
Right now, 9,734 people are experiencing homelessness across the Valley. 1,142 are children—12% of the total homeless population. Families are sleeping in cars, on sidewalks, and in dangerous situations.
At Phoenix Rescue Mission, we refuse to see this as unchangeable. Through compassionate Street Outreach, Hope Tote hygiene kits, and long-term recovery programs, we’re helping people break the cycle of homelessness, addiction, and poverty. We’re uniting families.

A family reunited—Corrine’s Story
At Phoenix Rescue Mission, stories like mine are what drive the work. Every day, lives are being redeemed, families restored, and hope reignited through Christ-centered programs, long-term recovery, and compassionate outreach.
I know, because I’ve lived it. My journey from addiction and homelessness to healing and purpose is proof that change is possible—and it all starts with connection.
I never thought I’d be where I am today, healthy, sober and helping women on the streets—because not long ago, I was in their shoes. My home life growing up was unstable and deeply toxic. I often had to take care of my younger siblings in the middle of a lot of dysfunction. That sense of instability followed me into adulthood. I struggled with addiction, moved constantly, and eventually lost custody of my kids. I would get sober, find a bit of stability, and then fall back into relapse and homelessness.
Everything changed when I was at a detox center and found out I was pregnant with my youngest. I felt this crushing grief and guilt—it was a wake-up call. I knew it had to stop.
That’s when I reached out to Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Changing Lives Center. They could help with child reunification. That hope became my guiding light.During my time in the year-long recovery program, I gave birth, rebuilt my life, and was reunited with my children.
Today, I work on the Mission’s Street Outreach team, and have learned this simple truth: God doesn’t mismanage our lives. He just asks us to trust Him.
I am living proof—and so many of my sisters are living proof—that what you’re doing through the Mission transforms and changes lives. It trickles down into children’s lives and families’ lives… your support is well spent.
