Food on the Go!

Where the hungry can’t get to us, we go to the hungry! In our research and experience, we’ve learned that bringing food and hygiene assistance to the communities in need is a crucial step in reaching families who need assistance.

South Phoenix Community Market

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the third Thursday of every month, the First New Life Church at 1902 W. Roeser Road hosts our South Phoenix Community Market. Here we distribute hygiene products along with much-needed canned and dry foods at no cost to the hungry and the hurting.

West Phoenix Food Pantry

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month, Ministerio Un Ejercito Para Cristo/Army for Christ Ministries at 4013 W. Maricopa Street hosts our Mission Mobile Pantry. This distribution site is strategically located in a “food desert” – an area where it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food – to help families make ends meet, and get some much-needed nutrition at the same time.

West Phoenix Community Market

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of the month, our Community Market opens up shop at 4013 W. Maricopa Street. Families are welcome to food boxes filled with canned and dry goods, as well as hygiene products ranging from paper towels and toilet paper to cleaning supplies and personal care items.

Want to help us serve families in our community? Check out the volunteer opportunities at phxmission.org/volunteer! Also, if you know someone who may be food insecure – help us get the word out! There are no zip code or income restrictions; a photo ID is all that’s required to participate. You can find out more at phxmission.org/hunger.
