Friday, November 17, 2 pm - 5:30 pm (3.5 hours)

Come help us serve the families and children in need in our community. We will be serving a full Thanksgiving Dinner to our neighbors in the Murphy School District.

Saturday, November 18, 8 am - 12 pm (4 hours)

Come help us serve the families in need in our community. We will be providing them with filled Thanksgiving Food Boxes and frozen turkeys

Winter Wonderland Event - Many Ways to Serve!

 Saturday, December 16, 7 am - 1 pm (6 hours)

Join us for our Annual Winter Wonderland Event! Come help us serve the children in need in our community. We will be providing them with a Christmas gift.

Mission Possible Cookies - November - December 21

 2 Shifts Daily M-F (prm.volunteerhub.com - filter for Mission Cookies)

We knead your help! Help support the Mission Possible Cookies Enterprise during the holiday season. Mission Cookies are handmade with care by women in recovery at the Changing Lives Center. Proceeds from every cookie support our programs.

First Shift (10am-2pm) Jobs May Include:

  • Assist with baking cookies
  • Packing baked cookies
  • Prepare orders for shipping
  • Data entry for orders
  • Making shipping labels
This opportunity is only available to women, married couples and youth supervised by an adult.

Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older and complete a Youth Volunteer Authorization and Liability Release form before serving.  All youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hope for Hunger Food Bank

Looking for a corporate or church group service project? Hope for Hunger Food Bank provides emergency food assisttance to those in need and serves residents in Glendale, and some parts of Peoria and Phoenix. Flexible shifts available Monday-Thursday for individuals or groups. Click HERE to sign up! Fill-A-Bag, Feed-A-Family

How does it work? Your neighbors commit to giving a small amount of food every two months, which will provide a steady supply of non-expired, nutritious food to serve those in need. We are off to a running start in Phoenix, Tempe, Buckeye, Mesa, and Fountain Hills, where a percentage of bags collected will go directly to Christ-centered food pantries in the areas of participating fellowships in this metro-wide program.  We are hoping to stir the body of Christ in unity to display the love of Jesus to our city.  If you are interested in volunteering or getting more information about Fill-A-Bag, Feed-A-Family, click here to see the info page or for more information contact Oscar Barajas at 602-346-3383 or at obarajas@phoenixrescuemission.org.

Hope Totes Hygiene Kits

As part of the Hope Coach ministry, we provide Hope Totes in gallon-sized re-sealable bags. For instructions on making Hope Totes, click here.

Hygiene Kits  and Fill-A-Bag drops offs are accepted at our warehouse from 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday at 1468 N. 26th Avenue in Phoenix.

Changing Lives Center


Tutors

We are so excited that so many of our clients are working towards completing their GED or High School Diplomas. These accomplishments open the door to job opportunities that would not otherwise be possible. Will you help them succeed? We need tutors or all sorts, and offer flexible hours and scheduling.

Childcare Provider - Childcare Assistants **We need your help**

Most of the women that enter our Transformation Program at the Changing Lives Centers are mothers, and have their children with them when they arrive on our campus. THey are hoping to find safe, stable, and loving place for themselves and their children. Without out the help of childcare volunteers our capacity is limited, as we simply cannot serve all the children anad mothers that rely on our Childcare Center that serves babies and children up to 5 years of age. Will you help by taking one shift, 10-2pm, one day per week, every other week, or one day per month? A Level-One Fingerprint card and TB test are required.

BRIDGE Teachers - Women

We have a wonderful opportunity to go into the jails and provide a class on transitioning back to the outside world for inmates. Because of a connection with one of our teachers, many with find their way to hope and transformation at the Changing Lives Center. We need women who can teach a set curriculum with a heart to reach these forgotten women looking to change their lives.

Mission Support Center


Donor Care Clerk

Do you have a few hours you can help us prepare mailings and do some filing? Your service is greatly needed at our Mission Support Center weekdays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. We will work around your schedule. 

Donor Events Volunteers

Would you like to impact a large number of people in the Phoenix community? Assist our Donor Events Coordinator with various aspects of event planning and preparation as we share our mission and vision with the ministry partners and the community at large. You must be organized and have MS Word and Excel, written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and following and implementing directions skills. Preferable 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, but flexible.

Community Engagement Outreach 


Hope Coach Ride Along

Ride on the Hope Coach to experience the true heart of Phoenix Rescue Mission! You will be visiting and serving people in various homeless camps and locations around Phoenix. The Hope Coach is out serving most week days and some Saturdays. If you are under 18 years of age, you must complete a Youth Volunteer Authorization and Liability Release prior to serving and you must be accompanied by an adult.
