A Message from our President…

In August I announced that after 12 fulfilling years, I would be bidding you a fond farewell. The Board of Directors and I decided I would work on a part-time basis to help transition as I spent time with our donor family—something I’m really looking forward to. I’m happy to share that the Board of Directors has found our new CEO! You will have the opportunity to meet him in next month’s issue. Next month we celebrate Thanksgiving.
The verse from Ezra expresses the sentiment of the season perfectly—Thanksgiving is an exciting time around here. There is so much to celebrate. And due to our country’s hard economic times, so many more will be coming to our doors. That’s why I’m so thankful for you. Your gifts make all that we do possible.
In keeping with the season, in this issue you’ll read about Chef Beth Lichtman, who runs our kitchen for the women and children’s ministry. Her goals include helping women understand the importance of good nutrition to encourage good health for themselves and their children. You can see one of her recipes you might want to try out on your Thanksgiving guests.
You’ll also read about Bill, a grateful Vietnam veteran whose miraculous story of recovery will touch your heart. I hope you’ll enjoy this month’s issue of Inspire.
