Jay A. Cory joined the Phoenix Rescue Mission on September 1, 2011 as President and CEO. Before coming to Phoenix, Jay served as the Executive Vice-President of the Atlanta Mission in Atlanta, Georgia. Jay started with the Atlanta Mission in 1995 as the Director of both the Potter’s House (Men’s Recovery Program) and Thrift Ministry locations. In each position of service Jay found his calling through being a part of the rescue, recovery and re-entry process for countless men and women facing homelessness and addiction.
Jay has built and directed Christ-centered recovery programs for over 20 years. Before entering the Mission field, he supervised the inpatient, outpatient and transitional programs at the Drug Abuse Foundation in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jay earned an MBA from Furman University, and is a Certified Addictions Counselor, a Certified Clinical Supervisor, a Licensed Christian Counselor, as well as an ordained minister. He also conducts seminars and training programs on Christ-centered addiction recovery.
