2014 HOLIDAY OPPORTUNITIES
Winter Wonderland Christmas Event, December 20, 2014 – This will be a great way for parents to provide Christmas to their household. There will be a shopping area where moms and dads can come and “shop” for their children for Christmas. This will enable them to pick out their children’s Christmas presents instead of someone else doing that for them. Volunteers and donations are needed! Click here to download the Gift Drive flyer or click here to learn more about the event.
“Sack Meal Assembly Elves” Needed, December 24, 2014 – If you would like to take a break from your last minute shopping on Christmas Eve morning, come and help us put together sack meals for our community kitchen. This is a family event! (Please use your judgement when deciding whether or not to bring small children). Learn more…
Warm for the Winter Drive – Collect new/slighly used blankets or sleeping bags, jackets, hooded sweatshirts, sweat pants, new knit caps, new socks, and scarves. These items will be distributed by our Hope Coach drivers throughout the winter months and to our shelter guests and visitors.
Community Market – Our free Community Market helps provide produce and other food items to needy families and individuals in the neighborhoods surrounding the Mission. We welcome individual and group volunteers to help clean, package and organize produce and other food items to give away. The Market is held every Tuesday from 11:00am – 1:30pm.
Hope Coach Ride-Along Opportunity - Ride Along with the Hope Coach Street Outreach Ministry! Hit the streets with Chaplain Cliff and experience the difference the Hope Coach is making in people’s lives. You can ride along, hand out life-saving supplies and pray with the unsheltered homeless to encourage them to come into our shelter.
Hope Totes – The Mission’s Hope Coach hits the streets six days a week providing life-saving supplies to the unsheltered homeless. We’re currently in need of supplies for our ‘Hope Totes’, in gallon sized Ziplock bags containing toiletries and snacks such as protein or granola bars. Download our flyer here.
